Anti-corruption strategy

It is a vision and mission that derives its roots from contemplation and logic and is based on the science of management and combating crime mixed with global experiences.

Iraq was keen on adopting the National Anti-Corruption Strategy and considered it a dynamic and continuous process based on a clear vision and message for the near and long terms, according to which national goals were defined that ensure building a fair, transparent and effective society, and it works to consolidate citizens' confidence in national institutions by implementing effective policies to address negative phenomena. It included defining plans to be a basis for workflow and a tool for defining responsibilities and responsibility centersAchieving results that are intended to be reached in a specific time and with specific specifications that are evaluated periodically using agreed criteria developed as guidelines to stimulate various activities that allow the higher management to take control of matters, initiative and initiative instead of being in a state of mere reaction in building the future of Iraq.

The technical, material and moral efforts of the United Nations by the workers of the Development Program ( UNDP ) in partnership with the Office of Crime and Drug Control ( UNODC ) have had a prominent impact on enriching Iraq's efforts in the field of developing anti-corruption programs by holding seminars, meetings and workshops and by providing technical advice and recommendations. The aim was to develop policies, programs, plans and work guides that were prepared by the committees and the group of Iraqi experts to meet the needs and requirements of the provisions of the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the guidelines and documents related to them, which indicates the United Nations organizations fulfilling their obligations and their active and serious participation in supporting our country, its government and people.
